Shion OS 2 is the product of years of learning and tweaking UNIX like operating systems to achieve a perfect balance between visuals, user interface efficiency, stability, and functionality, oh and also lots of sugary candy, caffeinated drinks, and no sleep. Shion OS 2 is designed to be used on desktop and workstation computers where getting things done quickly and efficiently is a priority. I have taken the UI layout and design from Shion OS 1 and adapted and improved while building Shion OS 2 from Debian 8.8 and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. It uses a modified version of the XFCE4.12 desktop environment, you will find that Shion OS 2 is likely the cleanest, most consistent, and stable version of XFCE4 since I have made many patches and tweaks throughout. I really wanted to make the best XFCE4 desktop possible. I have made many behind the scenes bug fixes and tweaks to make Shion OS 2 very stable and feel like a quality operating system.

Shion OS 2 is currently in its beta, I can not give an ETA for the finished product and be aware of the possibility of updates in the beta repository to drastically change some parts of the system over time. If you wish to use this on your main system, the latest beta is better in every way over the old stable release of 1.1.3.1.

Shion OS is a project I have been working on to create a fast and beautiful Linux based operating system that excels at getting things done quickly and efficiently. Shion OS currently uses Ubuntu 15.10 repositories in addition to its own due to the reliable quick package updates provided by Canonical. Shion OS uses a modified XFCE 4.12 desktop environment with LightDM display manager and a number of hand picked features, tweaks, and applications. I've build my own GTK+ UI theme for Shion OS designed to be clean and un-cluttered with consistency and ease of use in mind.

Simple Flat Start Orb for Window 8 & 10

A simple Start Orb I have designed to match the notification icons on the right hand side of the taskbar. I have a Windows 8 and Windows 10 styled versions for large and small taskbars. These are intended to be used with Start Is Back but should work with any other application which allows you to change the start orb.

Foobar2000 Black Icon and Button Glyphs

Foobar is a great music player but I have always found the default icons and buttons left a lot to be desired. I have made 2 Foobar icons and some simple yet elegant black button glyphs instead of the default white ones which are difficult to see. each of the Icons and glyphs are 256px .ICO files.

I may end up making an entire UI skin in the future but for now this is all I need.
